It’s all within reach, and we’re here to make sure you’re fully equipped to embrace the magic of welcoming your bundle of joy into your loving arms. So, let’s embark on this adventure together, shall we? Let’s dive into the world of newborn baby essentials! 🌟👶💕
1. Car Seat
Did you know the law requires that a safe car seat is properly installed in your vehicle before your baby leaves the hospital? Make sure you have a properly installed car seat ready to bring your baby home from the hospital. Look for one that meets current safety standards and is suitable for your baby’s age and weight such as this one from Amazon, it’s the one I used for my little one. It helped save so much money because its for babies that weight 4lbs to 120lbs. Love that it converts into different car seats, it’s pretty cool and definitely worth it. You won’t need any other car seat as your baby grows.
2. Diapers & Wipes
Stock up on plenty of diapers and wipes because trust us, you’ll be going through them like nobody’s business!
Personally, I found these cloth diapers to be a game-changer when my little one was at home. Not only are they more breathable and comfortable, but I didn’t mind the extra laundry duty as long as my baby was content and cozy.
For outings and adventures, we relied on Pure Pampers. I opted for these because they’re chlorine-free, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic, giving me peace of mind wherever we roamed.
These are the best wipes out there! They are 99.9% water and the rest is fruit extract. Other wipes have chemicals and fragrance. I never wiped my baby with anything else.
3. Feeding Supplies
Whether you choose to breastfeed or bottle-feed, having the right supplies is essential. For breastfeeding moms, invest in a comfortable nursing bra, breast pads, and a breast pump if needed. This breast pump below is so easy to use, you don’t need to hold the pumps or connect them to the wall. You can walk around and get your chores done. I love it because I started off with a different breast pump that was such a hassle, this one is just more convenient.
Bottle-feeding moms, stock up on bottles, formula, and sterilizing equipment. I love these glass bottles from Amazon because a lot of plastic baby bottles are made with chemicals required to harden the plastic and I like to avoid any chemicals that could potentially be harmful to my baby.
Also, not sure if all moms sterilize their bottles after every use but I did. At first I would boil hot water and throw the bottles in there to sterilize them but then I got this baby bottle washer that washes, sterilizes and dries the bottles. Such a game changer.
4. Sleep Essentials
Create a safe and cozy sleep environment for your baby with a crib, firm mattress, fitted sheets, and lightweight blankets. Please do not sleep with your newborn, please, please, please! Bed-sharing increases a baby’s risk of dying from SIDS!!!!
There’s going to be times your baby leaks out of his/her diaper, make sure to get a mattress cover or you will ruin your mattress quick! Also, these crib sheets are so cute and they’re soft and breathable.
Consider investing in a baby monitor for peace of mind during nap time and bedtime. This one not only has a camera but also tracks and notifies pulse rate and oxygen levels.
5. Bathing Supplies
Keep your little one squeaky clean with this gentle baby shampoo & body wash, this one is 100% natural nothing compared to all the other baby products out there! 10/10 recommend this brand over Babyganics, Johnson’s, Shea Moisture or any other one!
These soft washcloths are also a must!
Don’t forget a baby bathtub or sink insert for safe and easy bathing.
6. Healthcare Essentials
Be prepared for those inevitable sniffles and sneezes with a baby thermometer, nasal aspirator, infant acetaminophen or ibuprofen (if recommended by your pediatrician), and a first aid kit stocked with bandages and antiseptic ointment.
7. Stroller
Don’t forget your trusty stroller! A good stroller can make outings with your little one a breeze, whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or tackling your weekly grocery run.
This is an affordable, good quality stroller. It’s one of amazon’s best sellers. It converts into a basinet, you can make baby face the front or face you. It’s also very spacious and you can adjust it as your baby grows. And, it includes a UPF 50+ canopy.
This one is a bit pricier but it’s a full featured stroller with travel system capabilities. I love that it has a toddler shield, bug shield and rain shield. It can turn into a bassinet, and it also includes a UPF 50+ extendable canopy. Plus, it also has a piggy back accessory incase you have multiple kids. So many amazing features I love it!
8. Clothing
Keep your little one cozy and comfortable with a collection of onesies, sleepers, beanies, and socks. Remember, babies grow faster than you can say “cute onesie,” so don’t go overboard with sizes newborn and 0-3 months. Baby gloves are super important too, because babies unintentionally scratch themselves.

9. Grooming Essentials
Ensure your baby stays comfortable and safe by keeping their nails trimmed with a baby nail clipper and nail filer. Those tiny nails can grow surprisingly fast, and if left unchecked, they can accidentally scratch their delicate skin. Regularly trimming their nails helps prevent any discomfort or potential injury, ensuring your little one stays happy and content
10. Baby Blankets
Keep your little one snug as a bug with a collection of soft, cozy baby blankets. Whether you’re swaddling them for nap time or providing an extra layer of warmth during chilly outings, baby blankets are a must-have for any new parent’s arsenal. Plus, they make for adorable photo ops!
